The Balancing Act Highlights the Best Moments from the 2024 GrammysThe 66th annual Grammy Awards was a night to remember. Music’s biggest night of the year had some of the best moments and performances we have seen in a long time. If you missed the award show, don’t worry… The Balancing Act has you covered!

Here is a list of the best moments from the 2024 Grammys.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift made history yet again at this year’s Grammy Awards. The global icon won Album of the Year for her tenth studio album “Midnights.” Swift became the first artist to win this category four times. Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon only have won three times. Swift also took home the award for Best Pop Vocal Album and used her speech to surprise the world with her eleventh studio album set to release in April, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs Perform “Fast Car”

The biggest highlight of the night was hands down Luke Combs and Tracy Chapman performing “Fast Car” together. Combs decided to do a cover on the song earlier this year because it is one of his favorite songs of all time. Little did he know, the song would go on to be No. 1 and be nominated for a Grammy. Chapman appeared with Combs on stage, who rarely performs in public, to sing her hit song. The audience cheered wildly as the two performed. Chapman strummed her guitar and resulted in a huge standing ovation.

Miley Cyrus Wins Her First Grammy

Miley Cyrus won her first Grammy with Best Pop Vocal Performance for her hit song “Flowers.” She was ecstatic while accepting the award from Mariah Carey. Cyrus invited Carey to stand next to her as she gave her acceptance speech. “This M.C. is going to stand next to this M.C. because it’s too iconic,” said Cyrus. The “Wrecking Ball” singer went home with another win later in the night for Record of the Year for “Flowers.”

Celine Dion Makes Rare Appearance

Celine Dion made an appearance at this year’s award show. It was a real treat to see the icon as recently she has stayed away from media due to a rare diagnosis early last year. Dion was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, a neurological disease. The “My Heart Will Go On” singer presented the award for Album of the Year. An award she won in 1997 for “Falling Into You.”

Billy Joel Sings Unreleased Song

One thing we all haven’t heard in a while is a new Billy Joel song. The “Piano Man” singer hasn’t released a new song in 17 years! Well, Billy Joel fans you won’t have to wait much longer, the iconic singer performed his new song “Turn the Lights Back On” at the award show. As he settled into his piano the crowd cheered him on.

The 66th Grammy Awards was a night to remember. There were memorable performances, history made, and of course a night of appreciation for music. What was your favorite moment from the 2024 Grammy Awards?
