Improve balance, mobility, and confidence with Walkasins®
Peripheral neuropathy refers to many conditions that involve damage to the peripheral nervous system. When the sensory nerves are affected, people can experience different symptoms like numbness in the feet, loss of reflexes, difficulty walking, maintaining balance, and more. Walkasins® is a newly available external lower limb sensory prosthesis designed to replace lost nerve function in patients with peripheral neuropathy. It helps improve balance and gait, mobility, and reduces the risk of falls for people with sensory peripheral neuropathy.
We’ll meet Mike, a patient with peripheral neuropathy who benefited from Walkasins®, and sit down with Lars Oddsson, Ph.D., the co-inventor of Walkasins®, to learn more about the exciting new technology.
