Remembering a Past 'The Balancing Act' Guest, Suzanne Somers, Upon Her Recent Passing

Suzanne Somers, a beloved American actress, author, and health advocate, died over the weekend as confirmed by her publicist. 

“Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years,” R. Couri Hay said in a statement. “Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family.” 

Despite the sad news, it is important to know that she led a remarkable life filled with triumphs and challenges. So, upon her recent and unfortunate passing, let’s take a moment to remember Somers. After all, she had an inspirational journey as a woman.  

Early Stardom 

Suzanne Somers rose to fame in the 1970s for her role as Chrissy Snow on the popular sitcom Three’s Company. With her infectious charm and comedic talent, she quickly became a household name. 

Health Advocacy 

Beyond her acting career, Somers was a passionate advocate for alternative medicine, wellness, and healthy living. She authored several books on health, nutrition, and aging gracefully, becoming a well-known figure in the health and wellness community. Several years ago, she even made appearances on “The Balancing Act” to discuss issues important to her.

Battle with Cancer 

Somers faced a challenging battle with breast cancer, a disease that profoundly impacted her life. She courageously shared her journey with the world, shedding light on the difficulties and triumphs that come with such a diagnosis.
