Meet Bayer’s Blue Ribbon Beekeeper, Tucker Leck
November 13, 2020
All the buzz about bees
Bee-ware! About a third of all the foods we consume — from honey to veggies, to fruits and nuts — rely to some extent on bees and other pollinators. That’s why we need to make sure we protect them and their habitat. Bees feed us, so it’s only fair that we return the favor. Bayer Crop Science has various initiatives that are helping ensure our pollinators continue to thrive.
Their Blue Ribbon Beekeeper Award program recognizes the next generation of beekeepers and pollinator advocates (12-18 years old) and their efforts to give back to their communities. Today, we meet Tucker Leck, who, from a young age, has promoted and protected pollinator health in his hometown of Neodesha, Kansas.
Stay tuned to see how this young beekeeper is making a difference, spreading the word on why bees are so vital.
