So here is a list of the most successful woman authors today.

J.K. Rowlings is one of the most successful authors of all time. She captured the hearts and imaginations of fans through her fantastical world of Harry Potter. Rowlings says the idea came to her while sitting on a delayed train from Manchester to London. The book series was adapted into a film series taking home billions from the box office around the world. Readers around the world have been touched by Rowlings’ writing. She has sold more than 600 million copies globally.

Danielle Steel

Danielle Steel is considered one of the most-known writers in the world with 800 million copies sold. Yes, you read that right! Steel has written classic novels like “His Bright Light,” “Upside Down,” “Zoya,” “Jewels,” and others. Steel spent over 390 consecutive weeks on the New York Times Bestseller list and 22 of her books have been adapted into television series.

Stephenie Meyer

Stephenie Meyer is best known for her vampire romance series Twilight. Meyers has quickly climbed the ladder as one of the best-selling woman authors of all time. She has gained global recognition with stories that captivate readers’ romantic dreams. The Twilight book series was adapted into ‘The Twilight Saga’ which achieved nearly 2 billion dollars at the box office.

Isabel Allende

Isabel Allende is considered the most-read Spanish-language author. She has a list of achievements including Chile’s National Literature Prize and being inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Allende’s novels focus on Latin women and have achieved commercial success. Her stories inspire, haunt, and explore the magic in the lives of everyday people.
