The Balancing Act®, now in its 20th year, is America’s premier morning show that fits perfectly into the modern viewer’s busy lifestyle. The show delivers sensible solutions and essential information in a fun, entertaining format.
The Balancing Act proudly welcomes daytime TV legend Montel Williams as co-host of the long-running morning show. Williams, who hosted more than 3500 episodes of his iconic, self-titled talk show over 17 seasons, joins Olga Villaverde, Julie Moran and Chef Ralph Pagano on The Balancing Act team. In his triumphant return to daytime television, Montel brings his unique perspective and incisive commentary to the hottest topics relevant to Lifetime’s diverse audience. The Balancing Act delivers everything from delicious recipes, style makeovers and dream vacation getaways to parenting tips and the latest news in health and wealth.
“I think the most important thing is understanding that work is not all there is in life,” Montel said. “Working at the art of living is what’s important. Every day, I write down the three good things that I did.”
Montel was introduced into American homes as the Emmy-Award winning host of The Montel Williams Show, which ran for 17 years. He is a decorated former Naval officer, inspirational speaker, author, entrepreneur and advocate for patients worldwide.
Along with being a New York Times bestselling author, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Montel is a passionate advocate for veterans, education and health.
Montel resides in South Florida with his wife Tara.
“I’m excited every day to talk to women across the country and make their lives easier, whether we are cooking up a new recipe or dishing on the latest in beauty or more serious subjects like innovations in breast cancer.”
Olga has brought her signature passion and enthusiasm to her role as co-host at The Balancing Act since 2010.
As a news desk anchor and a field reporter covering major stories like Hurricane Andrew and Katrina, to anchoring several morning shows, Olga brings a love of news and a wealth of knowledge and experience to The Balancing Act.
Olga lives in South Florida with her husband and their daughters Samantha and Daniella.
“I’m a firm believer that women can have it all—just not all at the same time! That’s why I love hosting The Balancing Act, to give women the latest information on the best ways to balance their own lives and for their families —in their careers, and at home.”
Julie was the first female host for ABC’s Wide World of Sports, served as the weekend anchor and co-host for Entertainment Tonight from 1994 – 2001, and hosted the Academy Awards pre-show in 2001. Julie joined The Balancing Act as a celebrity guest host for the Mother’s Day Special in 2012 and launched her role as a full-time host for the show in early 2013.
Julie lives in Atlanta with her husband, actor Rob Moran, and their two daughters.
“I am the true Balancing Act guy,” Ralph said. “I’ve got a wife, twins, a successful business with 125 employees, and then I do TV and radio.”
Chef Pagano is a popular chef and TV personality who was the runner-up on the first season of Hell’s Kitchen and faced off against Bobby Flay on Iron Chef America. Ralph has appeared on The Balancing Act since 2014, anchoring the food segments Quick Bytes and Ralph on the Road.
After surviving a near-fatal kitchen explosion in 2017, he emerged from a 59-day hospital stay and grueling rehab sessions with a renewed sense of purpose.
Ralph owns and operates his Naked Taco franchises in South Florida, where he lives with his wife and twins, a daughter and a son.
