A few months ago, we shared our dear friend chef Ralph Pagano’s story of survival. After suffering severe burns in a kitchen explosion in Bimini in June 2017, Ralph discussed the lessons he learned and how his priorities have changed since.

With a second chance at life, Ralph found a new understanding of the importance of family, and has learned that he wants to fit his career into his life, rather than fitting his life into his career.

Now, the chef is focused on helping other burn survivors at Jackson Health, where he was treated. Take a look at Ralph’s work with Jackson’s Burn Survivor Support Group, where burn patients talk about their experience and help each other heal.
