In late 2019, the Inaugural Montel Williams Military Makeover Celebrity Golf Classic and Gala took place at the beautiful Parkland Golf and Country Club in Parkland, Florida.

Presented by BrandStar CARES, the event honored Military Makeover families and non-profit partners, as well as the family of Chris Hixon.

U.S. Navy veteran Chris Hixon served his country during Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield in 2007. Though Hixon survived combat service, he sadly lost his life defending the lives of students during a mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14th, 2018. He is survived by his wife Debra and their two sons, Thomas and Corey.

Next up, stay tuned as we get a look at the success of the event. Guests mingled with celebrities and participated in live and silent auctions. Then, attendees enjoyed a memorable day of golf and giving back.
