When Kelly was diagnosed at 18 with Friedreich’s Ataxia, she went through denial, not wanting to deal with it or talk about it. She slowly began to realize that she needed to be the person and voice that she didn’t have when she was diagnosed.

By sharing her story on social media, it was a way to not only process her diagnosis but also turn something terrible into action. Now, over 10 years after her diagnosis, Kelly is a blogger and YouTuber with over 300,000 TikTok followers who shares her journey with Friedreich’s Ataxia to help others feel less alone.
