When you or a loved one is hospitalized for an illness, injury, or planned surgery, you may have many questions or feel uncertain about the next step. Oftentimes, it’s difficult to find healthcare resources that provide digestible answers.

Host Laura Saltman takes us inside the Lacuna Health Call Center, where registered nurses are on call 24 hours a day. Here, healthcare is only a phone call away! It’s designed for patients who are transitioning back to life inside their own homes, allowing them to better understand their care and ask further questions all within the comfort of their residence.

In 2017, Lacuna answered more than 75,000 calls morning and night, ranging from what time to take blood pressure medication, to where to find a physical therapist, and how to handle aches and pains. This 24-hour resource allows patients to avoid a trip to a local urgent care or hospital, as well as think through and handle their health in the best possible way.
