Challenging Minds and Changing Lives
Since its founding in 1877 as a Private Baptist Seminary to its current role as “Mississippi’s Urban University,” Jackson State University joins old tradition with award-winning teaching technology. Designated as one of America’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities, JSU is proud of its diversity, with students from over 60 countries worldwide. It has brought its award-winning digital learning platform to new heights. As a renowned research university, students have achieved great things in the classroom, on the playing field, and on the national and international stage.
