How New Optimism and Science-Based Collaborative Projects Can Foster Environmental Change
EarthTeam’s program is The Missing link in science education. We use the afterschool space to offer paid internships to address the student’s personal growth and our planet’s health.
Personal growth and well-being are the foundation of more effective informal STEM learning. Our program builds social-emotional strengths, like confidence, character, empathy, and competence, side by side with new scientific skills.
Through more outdoor time in field experiences and community action projects, they discover their potential to create positive change. This builds motivation to learn more about the Earth Sciences and contribute to society, developing new attitudes of optimism and action instead of the prevalent environmental doom and gloom.
For 30 years we have empowered thousands of young environmental leaders, shaping a more sustainable and equitable future. By linking optimism and hands-on environmental science we’re growing the next generation of diverse resilient environmental scientists our world needs.
