Every 4 minutes someone dies of a stroke. Anyone can have a stroke. Everyone should be ready. But did you know 80 percent of strokes are preventable? The letters in “FAST” can be used to spot stroke signs and also let you know when it’s time to call 9-1-1.

“F”-Face Drooping: does one side of your face feels numb?
“A”- Arm Weakness: Is one arm weak or numb?
“S”- Speech Difficulty: is your speech slurred?
“T”- Time to call 9-1-1.

If you or anyone you know is showing these signs it is time to dial 9-1-1.
