Transformations Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center

The over 30 population often come into treatment with many more consequences than the younger population, more guilt and shame and deeply ingrained patterns of belief, thought and behaviors.  The majority of this age group have families, children and relationships, many of whom are relying on them financially, physically and emotionally. One thing that is significant to address in treatment is the concept of accountability and responsibility surrounding addiction, separate and distinct from fault or blame.

Transformations Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center helps the “over 30” look at who they have affected and how, while moving away from the guilt and shame. While in treatment they work on responsibility, understanding that they have choices and some are effective while others are not.  The program at Transformations Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center also helps the patients look effectively at tools and resources to support them with changing their patterns in thinking and behaviors.  This of course can be very challenging, particularly for someone who has been behaving or thinking the same way for 50 years!
