Holistic Approach to Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation
Join The Balancing Act as we speak with Dr. Tracy Sands, inventor of holistic protocols and products used at Transformations Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center. The holistic approach program is designed to restore, repair and balance the brain chemistry of each patient.
The majority of patients that come in are “chemically imbalanced” due to whatever substance they’ve been abusing; therefore, depleting the brain chemistry. The holistic program focuses on the various chemicals in the brain that are most commonly depleted such as serotonin and dopamine. It’s important to first get those chemicals back to where they need to be or the person’s just not going to feel very well. There is also a chiropractor onsite- and that helps a lot with the recovery process due to the release of natural endorphins to help with the patient’s anxiety that often comes during recovery.
The holistic approach can be a healthy way to reclaim your life and feel better naturally.
On this episode, Beth Troutman tells her story; Christina Nicholson embarks on an adventure to Orlando with her family; and former football player Marc Bouniconti shares his journey.
Three decades later, Marc Buoniconti, a quadriplegic, visits The Balancing Act to talk about his life, his mission, and his goal to one day walk again.
The Balancing Act's host Christina Nicholson and her family are embarking on a fun-filled vacation to Orlando, Fla., also known as the "theme park capital of the world."
