Americans are experiencing high anxiety over their job prospects this New Year! That’s according to a recent survey that reveals the number one workplace concern for 2009 is job security. That anxious feeling is understandable, considering the U.S. has the highest unemployment rate since 1974 and more jobs are being lost every day. The survey also shows that nearly one in four U.S. workers say they’re unhappy with their current job, but fear it’s too difficult to prove themselves to a new employer, especially in today’s job market.

The good news is that despite the troubled economy, there are still companies that are doing well, even expanding and buying up assets of failing companies. There’s also the hope that a new President will mean new programs to create jobs.

HotJobs Senior Managing Editor Tom Musbach reveals the surprising results of an “exclusive” new job survey, outlining the concerns job seekers are most anxious about. Tom will also provide “insider tips” from top companies on what it takes to stand out from a sea of resumes and how to come out on top with the job offer. Musbach is renowned for his job market expertise and career advice, and has appeared on various national networks including CNN, Fox News Channel and CNBC. Interview sponsored by Yahoo! Inc.
