The Balancing Act says Happy Mother’s Day…. Honoring two special moms.
We know that mothers come in so many different forms—the traditional mom, the aunt, grandmother, sister… even neighbor or friend. Today we honor all of the phenomenal people who have been in this role, in one way or another. Plus we focus on two very special South Florida single moms who despite significant challenges are thriving in their role as mother. Our first mom is raising a 6 year old, special needs daughter who is finally, after almost four years of therapy, now verbal and very social. Our second mom is diagnosed with stage four breast cancer….but that’s not slowing her down. She is aggressively and functionally fighting the cancer with non-invasive therapies. She is also raising two daughters on her own. Being a mom is a thankless job but today The Balancing Act tries to thank these two special moms with some fabulous gifts from many of our branded partners…including a trip to Mexico! It’s not to be missed.
